Today we picked up our bikes in Clermont and made our way to Salzuit…

Saint Michel d’Aiguilhe Chapel…. 268 steps up!.. whew … but totally worth the effort to see this beautiful wee chapel & the old city from above.

Day 5: Le Puy to Mergeride..
Our biggest day yet! 90kms & we all flew through it on our fabulous, double batteried Reece & Muller e-bikes
… it seems like around every other corner in the road is another amazing vista!
… coffee stop at one more of the endless gorgeous villages we cycle through.

Day 6: Peyre en Aubrac to Laguiole…..
Peyre en Aubrac to Laguiole… 55 super quick kms in the rain!… Thank goodness for hot showers in nice hotels!

… just stopping to yarn to the local French cow farmers.. as you do with this group!

Our farming crew have been loving watching the hay making. I think we saw more tractors in town than cars at lunchtime! … & such heavy crops!
