A walking tour with a difference; this trip follows the Camino (Way of St James) from France into Spain. Each day there is the opportunity to walk as much or as little as you like. Carrying on the many traditions of the Camino, this trip incorporates the flavour of this 1,000 year old pilgrimage.

Map

  • Breathe in the beauty and history of Paris.
  • Take the train to Southern France and enjoy the beautiful countryside, great food and excellent wine.
  • Wander around historic Le Puy, a medieval town and one of the traditional starting points of The Way from France into Spain.
  • Walk in some of the prettiest French villages as we travel down towards the Pyrenees.
  • Simplify your life for several weeks as we journey through stunning scenery and take time to enjoy pastures, forests and quiet chapels.
  • Have the flexibility to walk most days or to move ahead in our private coach if the legs are tired and the coffee is calling.
  • Partake in picnics as we have communal meals along the way.
  • Stay in medieval towns where pilgrims past and present have come to sit a little in the churches and reflect on life less hectic.
  • Pass fortresses, palaces, vineyards, cemeteries and churches enough to satisfy the most earnest historian and keenest photographer.
  • Attend a Holy Mass at Santiago de Compostela.
  • Travel to Finisterre, literally the "end of the land", and see the traditional end of the Way of St James.
  • In Barcelona go inside Gaudi's incredible Sagrada Familia.
  • Be entertained at a lively Flamenco Show.

Stu was excellent.

Adequately met expectations.

Appreciated his organising tickets for non-scheduled events.

Right degree of group control and latitude.
